A Little About Me
Hey, I’m Julia! I’m a full-time college student attending two colleges right now. I attend Ridgewater College fully online and St. Cloud State University in-person. I have an Associate of Arts degree from Ridgewater that I got last year. I feel like I’m one of those people who is a perpetual student, because I can never decide what exactly I want to do, so I try it all.

I do everything for my family. They have truly given me an amazing life and I owe everything I have to them. My biggest inspiration is my sister, who struggles daily with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME)/chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). Despite barely having the energy to leave the house, she works on art projects and creates little doodads whenever she can. She reminds me every day that I have no excuse to be slacking off, because she keeps going with this life-changing condition. She is the most creative, inspiring, and strong-willed person I’ve known.
My own story is pretty mundane. I’m extremely introverted, but I can be the loudest in the room if you know me well enough. I am fascinated with video games, and would love to one day work on a team of developers. I love the piano and have been playing since I can remember, and I love transcribing my own sheet music or watching other people’s covers and creating the sheets for it. I wish I had more time and energy to devote to doing art. Unfortunately, with ADHD, it’s hard to get myself to do anything for long periods of time unless there is a due date.
Beyond The Classroom
I’ve taken on personal design challenges and continuously developed my own aesthetic through sketching, photography, and digital arts. I love experimenting with visual styles while staying grounded in strategy and clarity. For me, great design is both beautiful and functional.
Now I’m looking to bring my skills to real-world opportunities: freelance gigs, internships, junior design roles, or collaborations. I value thoughtful communication and attention to detail—and I’m excited to connect with others who do too.
Skills & Interests
I’m a visual artist with a passion for mastering my artistic techniques and visual storytelling. I’ve worked across a range of creative mediums—including Photoshop, Illustrator, photography, and hand-drawn illustration—developing a strong foundation in design principles and creative thinking. My academic background includes courses in color theory, typography, web design, the history of graphic design, digital photography, and more. These courses shape how I approach every project.
